  • About Alice Tindi

Alice Tindi is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) specializing in treating a wide array of traumas, ranging from racial trauma,  childhood trauma  domestic violence, sexual trauma, trauma of fleeing ones country due to violence (Refugees and Immigrants), and historical and intergenerational trauma. Alice comes from a family of healers which drove her passion to join a helping profession. Alice’s grandmother used faith and traditional herbs to heal people and Alice truly enjoyed and appreciated people getting well at the touch of her grandmother’s hands. This experience influenced Alice’s passion for working with people and making a difference one person at a time.

Alice is a strength-based psychotherapist. She sees people’s strengths even in moments they think they do not have any, and tap into a person’s inner resilience/resources to walk with people in their journey of healing. Alice is driven to discover the root of a person’s psychological distress and works collaboratively with you to tackle, and find solutions to the identified problem. Alice centers an individual’s culture as the foundation of the treatment interventions, and provides culturally responsive and specific services. She values respect, learning, and humility of the individual’s beliefs, traditions,  customs and perspectives on their challenges.

Alice approaches psychotherapy through a lens that integrates interventions grounded  in Biopsychosocial-spiritual (Biological, psychological, social, and spiritual) framework of understanding human beings.  The interventions in her psychological practice are evidenced-based as well as practice-based evidence to respect, honor and amplify indigenous knowledges. Above all, the interventions are tailored to meet individual, couple’s, and family needs.

Alice provides assessment for persons on the Autism Spectrum Disorder  by completing a Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE), that establishes their medical need/necessity for Early Intensive Developmental Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) services. Age range is 0-21 years old. Don’t wait for too long to get the EIDBI services you may need.
